Signalling

Various signaling methods are available: audible only, digital communicators, dual signalling devices like Redcare and Dualcom.

Redcare - Standard

Redcare - Standard

Redcare - Standard is a BT product that is connected to a Redcare enabled phone line.  The phone line is then monitored to ensure it is always there, and for example if the phone line was cut the alarm receiving centre would notify you.

Audible/Visual external siren/strobe

Audible/Visual external siren/strobe

Audible only systems are not connected to any phone line and therefore they notify an alarm condition by ringing a local sounder.  Often a strobe light will flash too.  Because of the noise polution act we must programme sounders to cut out after 15-minutes, but the strobe light can continue to flash after the sounder has stopped.

The model we fit is the Novagard 6 external sounder which is designed in a modern low profile shape and offers simple installation.  It comes with a white cover screen-printed in blue and has a matching blue lens.  The electronics inside are encased within a robust inner cover.  It has: 4 selectable LED flashing sequences, a fault output, Selectable sounder tones, twin piezo sounders, SAB/SCB selectable via a link, audible setting confirmation, and there is a cover & Wall-Tamper fitted as standard.

Redcare - GSM

Redcare - GSM

Redcare GSM is a dual-signalling BT product that is connected to a Redcare enabled phone line.

The phone line is then monitored to ensure it is always there, and for example if the phone line was cut the alarm receiving centre would notify you.

This device signals by wireless and also via the standard telephone land-line.  The wireless path is the primary path which means all signals are sent that way, unless the wireless path is compromised.  In which case the land-line would takeover and send the alarm receiving centre a signal, to notify them that the wireless path had failed.  Also the other way round, if the land-line were cut the device would notify the alarm receiving centre via its wireless path.  If both the wireless path and the land-line path failed the alarm receiving centre would treat that as a confirmed alarm (meaning there is a very good chance your alarm system has been compromised) and they would notify the Police as well as the key-holder.

If just one path of the device should fail it can still signal on the other path.  That would mean if an intruder 1st cut the phone line, then subsequently broke in to the premises the Redcare GSM would still send signals from its wireless path.

Redcare - Fire

Redcare - Fire
